MAP AND DIRECTIONS TO SUNCREST INFORMATION CENTER


From I-15, take exit 289 east on Highland Drive. Turn right onto Traverse Ridge Road and travel approximately 4 miles to 4-way stop. The Suncrest Information Center and Village Green Park is on corner at the 4-way stop.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

STARTING LINE

All races will begin at the fire station just above the Suncrest Information Center at the top of Traverse Ridge Drive in Draper, Utah the morning of Saturday, September 10, 2011. Click HERE for Directions to the Suncrest Information Center.


FINISH LINE

All races will finish at the Suncrest Information Center at the top of Traverse Ridge Drive.


PARKING (for participants and spectators)

Parking will be at the LDS church located at 14977 S. Roundtree Lane just above the Suncrest Information Center near the start of the race.


AID STATIONS

There will be 6 aid stations along the half marathon and half marathon relay course and 1 aid station along the 5K and 3K fun run course. Each aid station will have water, Gatorade and minimal first aid supplies. See event info for details.


TIMING

The event will be timed using Runner Card. You will receive a print out of your race times after you cross the finish line.


MEDICAL

There will be minimal first aid supplies at each aid station.


ARE STROLLERS ALLOWED?

Strollers are NOT allowed along the half marathon, relay or 5K course.


ARE THE MILES MARKED?

There will be mile signs marking each mile of the course.


PACKET PICK-UP

Runners who have pre-registered can pick up their packets on Friday, September 9, 2011 at Wasatch Running located at 8946 South State Street in Sandy from 6pm until 8pm OR on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the Suncrest Information Center from 6:00-6:45am.


TEMPERATURE

Morning temperatures are often in the 30F to 40F range. The afternoon temperatures generally warm up into the 60's.


ROAD CLOSURES

Deer Ridge Drive and Suncrest Drive will be closed temporarily at the start of the half marathon, relay and 5K.


RELAY EXCHANGE POINTS

Exchange points will be at aid station #2 (exchangeA) and #4 (exchange B) See event info for details on runner mileage.


TRANSPORTATION TO RELAY LOCATIONS

Transportation will be provided to and from relay exchange A only.
Relay exchange B is near the starting/finish line.



REFUNDS

Registration fees are non-refundable.


PORT-A-POTTIES

There will be port-a-potties at the start/finish line of all races; also at aid stations #2, #3, #4 and #5 for the half marathon and relay. There will 1 port-a-potty along the 5K and 3K fun run courses.


CLOTHING DROP-OFF

You may drop-off clothing at the registration table in a bag with your bib number and name marked clearly on it. Clothing dropped off at aid stations will be collected and brought to the finish line. All clothing not picked up by the end of the race will be donated to charity.


WHAT IF IT RAINS?

The race will happen rain or shine.


AWARD CEREMONY

There will be an award ceremony at 10am at the Suncrest Village Green Park located near the finish line.


LOST AND FOUND

All lost and found items will be brought to the finish line. Any items not picked up by the end of the race will be donated to charity.


HEADPHONES

We do not recommend usage of any audio equipment during any of the races. If you use an audio device you do so at your own risk.


EVENT INFO

At the finish line area there will be sponsor booths, music, food vendors, and inflatable toys.


WHAT IS THE COURSE LIKE?

The course is on both trail and road. Some of the trails are single-track. Please be courteous when passing or being passed along a single-track trail. Trail surfaces can be at times uneven or rocky; watch your step.


WHAT IF I GET LOST?

The trails will be clearly marked. Watch for signs or volunteers directing you. If you feel you are lost, backtrack to the last trail marker and check that you are headed in the right direction.
